A portrait of Iceland through the people who belong to it.

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, we have partnered with Outlander Magazine on a limited-edition capsule inspired by the people, landscapes and spirit of Iceland.

The collaboration brings together 66°North’s century-long heritage in Icelandic outerwear with Outlander’s contemporary perspective on fashion, music and culture. Together, the two brands explore a modern portrait of Iceland, celebrating the people and places that shape the country’s identity.

The collaboration launches globally on September 18.

Dyngja shell

The Dyngja shell jacket and Pants draw from the brand’s early-2000s archive, combining a structured silhouette with contemporary technical performance. Constructed from durable three-layer fabric, the pieces offer 10,000 mm waterproof protection and feature signature reflective piping - a longstanding 66°North design detail rooted in the practical demands of Icelandic winters and limited daylight. The collection is presented in two colourways inspired by Iceland’s contrasting landscapes: light blue and white, referencing the Blue Lagoon where the campaign was shot, and black, inspired by Iceland’s volcanic soil.

The spirit of Iceland

Shot at Iceland’s iconic Blue Lagoon, the campaign offers a portrait of Iceland through the people who belong to it. Rather than traditional models, the cast features Icelandic personalities including builder Þorvaldur Þorsteinn Þorvaldsson, graphic designer Alexandra Sól, 66-year-old former Head of the Icelandic Academy of the Arts Frida Björk, and dancer Luis Lucas.

The campaign is photographed by renowned Icelandic photographer Mats Wibe Lund, 89, most known for his aerial photography of Iceland brings a local perspective to the project. Behind-the-scenes imagery is captured by six-year-old Unnur Rajani, daughter of 66°North designer, bringing together two generations of Icelandic image-makers.

Shot floating and half-submerged in the Blue Lagoon, the campaign places the collection directly within Iceland’s geothermal landscape.
