Equal Rights Program 2025–2028
The objective of Sjóklæðagerðin’s Equal Rights Program is to establish and maintain equality and equal opportunities for all employees. The program aims to ensure gender pay equality and equal terms of employment, as well as equal opportunities for professional growth. It outlines specific goals and action plans to achieve these objectives and applies to all employees at Sjóklæðagerðin.
The program is developed in accordance with Act No. 150/2020 and other legislation pertaining to equality. It is applicable to everyone employed by Sjóklæðagerðin.
Objectives
Sjóklæðagerðin is committed to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all, regardless of gender, origin, religion, age, place of residence, sexual orientation, race, or any other distinguishing factor. The company emphasizes the equal treatment of all employees in terms of pay, working conditions, and opportunities.
In this context, gender refers to women, men, and individuals registered with a neutral gender in the national registry, unless otherwise specified.
Sjóklæðagerðin has received Equal Pay Certification in accordance with Article 7 of Act No. 150/2020. The company completes annual audits to maintain the certification and undergoes full recertification every three years.
Sjóklæðagerðin’s objectives include:
- Guaranteeing equal rights regardless of gender, origin, religion, age, place of residence, sexual orientation, race, or other differentiating factors
- Ensuring equal pay and terms for jobs of equal or comparable value
- Providing all individuals with an equal right to apply for open positions, regardless of gender
- Offering equal access to training, professional development, and education
- Supporting flexibility in the workplace and a healthy balance between work and personal life
- Ensuring smooth and efficient reintegration into the workplace following parental leave or family-related leave
- Maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, gender-based violence, gender-based harassment, and sexual harassment
The Equal Rights Policy was approved by the Executive Board on 19 May 2025.
