This year 66°North marks 100 years alongside the Icelandic nation. To celebrate, we have created a capsule collection celebrating 10 styles – 10 decades. Each style represents an iconic product introduced in that decade. Whether that’s the classic fisherman’s anorak from 1926 or our most versatile shell jacket from 2011 - Snæfell.

2006-2016

Born for the blizzard. Built for everywhere. First introduced in 2006, the Þórsmörk became a much-loved Icelandic winter staple. For the capsule, the parka returns in brown with a distinctive plaid lining. The anniversary edition is made with a 2-layer GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER shell, providing wind protection, breathability and water resistance. Taped seams add further protection from the elements, while the hood is finished with a removable fur trim.

The parka features six pockets and adjustable drawcords at the collar and waist for a customizable fit. Designed in a regular unisex fit, the parka has room for base and mid layers underneath. Choose your usual size for a looser fit, or size down for a closer fit.

The 100-Year Capsule brings the 66°North archive into the present; the collection reflects the changing needs, technologies and styles that have shaped 66°North. The design team worked closely with the company’s extensive archive, selecting pieces that capture significant moments in the brand’s history and creating modern updates. Many of these products are still part of the brands collection today, now reimagined with new tweaks and updates.

Each capsule piece also features a specially developed woven label containing information about the style and the decade it represents.
