Named after the nature reserve on Iceland's northernmost peninsula, the durable and high-performance Hornstrandir bib is the choice of outdoor professionals and serious enthusiasts across Iceland, whether hiking, mountaineering, climbing, or touring.

Crafted from extremely breathable, very rugged, and durably waterproof up to 28,000 mm GORE-TEX® PRO® fabric, these bibs are designed to keep you dry and comfortable in the toughest conditions. The bibs are windproof, ensuring protection against harsh winds. Featuring a relaxed cut with adjustable suspenders, these bibs offer both comfort and durability, with reinforcements on the backside, knees, and outside of the legs. The two zipped front pockets, along with the fully seam-sealed design and YKK Aquaguard zippers, provide added convenience and waterproofing.

The two-way zipper at the front opening and the two-way full-length zippers at the sides allow for easy transitioning. The leg-gaiter system at the hem, equipped with an elastic cord and hook, ensures a good seal from snow and soil. To secure a tight seal, wrap the elastic cord under your feet and hook it onto the metal pieces over the dorsum (top of the foot).

Hornstrandir bibs can fit over base layers and mid-layers with a close fit. Some customers may find the leg length slightly long. Adjustment straps at the ankle allow the bibs to be tightened over a boot and shortened to fit.

What to wear for skiing and snowboarding

You don't need another ski jacket. Try ditching the ski jacket this winter. Our products are just as home in the white slopes of the mountains as they are in the heart of the city. Whether on the steep slopes or in the bustle of the city, our clothes will help you embrace the elements. The answer simply lies in layering.

All sides of Iceland in one day

This summer, our ambassador, Benjamin Hardman set to traverse and document the Laugavegur trail, aiming to experience all sides of the landscape and conditions on foot within a 24-hour window.
