No Ice T-Shirt

The No Ice T-shirt was made to raise awareness of how global warming is changing the landscape in Iceland. Icelandic glaciers are the fastest shrinking outside of the Polar ice caps. A rise of 2°C will see all Icelandic glaciers vanish. At 66°North, we want to draw attention to this issue and do our part to help counter this development.

Since 2019, we have not participated in Black Friday. Instead, 25% of our online sales go to funding organizations that all have one thing in common: protecting our nature.

On Friday, November 28th, we celebrated Iceland’s glaciers for the seventh year in a row. On that day, 25% of all online sales were donated to the Icelandic Glaciological Society. In the week leading up to it, 25% of all No Ice T-shirt sales also went to the same cause.

The Icelandic Glaciological Society was founded in 1950 to support research about our glaciers. There, both scientists and laymen get the opportunity to work together towards the same goal – documenting the disappearance of our glaciers.
